Hello friends! My name is Bola Adepoju and I am the founder and CEO of WOB (Wardrobe of Beauty). Right from my early childhood, I have developed interest for beauty products. I was often fascinated by my mom’s collection of lipsticks and blushers as well as mascaras. I would often sneak into her room to admire them and try them on at times.
As I grew up, I became more and more interested in beauty products. As a result, I began to explore the possibilities of taking on beauty care as a career path. However, my dad wasn’t so keen about the prospects and opportunities of the beauty industry and I eventually pursued a degree in Occupational Therapy (OT). I worked briefly as an Occupational Therapist with the NHS, although it was both a pleasant and rewarding experience. My love for the cosmetics and beauty care wouldn’t go away, so I decided to quit OT to pursue my dreams.
After quitting the NHS, I undergo some beauty courses and I began work as a freelancer makeup artist. I believe in personal development and every so often I like to attend beauty exhibitions. In 2009 I decided to visit the Professional Beauty exhibition in the Excel London. I came across a company called Xtremelashes, who offers training in eyelash extensions. I was mesmerised by the technician, while she was doing a full set of lash extensions. I watched her, until she had finished a full set of lashes. I was amazed by the results, and I knew from then I had to learn the technique.
I enrolled on an eyelash extensions course and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then I have worked as a freelancer make up artist and a lash tech. I also freelance for Blink Brow Bar also known as (BBB London) as a pro lash artist over a year. I have also studied many other courses, in individual eyelash extensions and Russian volume lashes all across Europe, making sure that I am improving on my skills.
